GLOVES OFF
This work brings shoreline permissions indoors. Visitors are invited to place their hands in algae-pigmented water and muddy snow, encountering the surface and hidden texture through touch. The piece changes through these small deposits of stain left by each interaction. Marks form through contact, moisture, pigment, and unseen microbial presence. What kinds of knowledge emerge when touch is no longer mediated by gloves or sterilized environments?
